Spruce Tips are Popping...Do I Dare???

I wouldn't freeze them, just put a bunch in some vodka. Pine flavored vodka is pretty good alone or you can flavor a fermentor or keg to taste.

    Winterizing potted plants

Bodatious Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout clone attempt

I couldn't get the OG up high enough without getting a "hot" alcohol taste. it was still good, best part about attempting this clone is that no matter what you'll end up with a tasty stout that will put you back down in your seat after one or two. :rockin: :mug:

    2012 Hop Swap

Mine are currently in containers and I will be transplanting them. This will make getting the rhizomes real easy. Typically, you would dig them up a little ways away from your main bine. They should be just a little bit under the surface of the soil (they are basically root cuttings). The...

New to growing hops, wanting to do it in pots

i went for the quick and easy route... 30 gallon bucket bins $9, organic top soil from Lowes...$1.30 per 40# bag. it does not have any other seeds that might germinate (which might be the case from some manure) and i can treat with fertilizer as i see fit. I really don't think it matters too...

The bike path from Dayton to Xenia has some growing along the way. It use to be a traintrack, so who knows the actual origin. They have a mild lemony, orange citrus aroma.
