    Help in Orlando

I'm moving to Orlando very soon, so I am looking for some help with the local watering holes. I've already found a nice Brittish pub to watch soccer and to drink beer in, but there isn't much variety in their offerings, although they have a ok selection. Any suggestions for a place with some...

    Brewing in Warm weather?

Pumbaa - Thanks for the link. I gave it a quick look and not only does it look like it would work, but it's another project! :) EdWort - I am a fan of any 1911 that is reliable. In my case that is a Kimber Custom Target II and a Para Ordinance LTC. Both very reliable and fun to shoot...

    Brewing in Warm weather?

A chest freezer is an idea that I had not considered. I like it. I am sure that the house will be cool enough for making some ales, but I want to have more control over the temperature. My current basement only varies 1-3 degrees over the course of the day. Not to mention with a chest freezer...

    Brewing in Warm weather?

OK fellow brewers, I need some help. We currently live in Virginia and I have a nice big basement that for most of the year stays at a good temperature for ale fermentation. I have really been blessed with my current situation. But.... My family will soon be moving to Orlando Florida. Having...

    Help Me Spend $200!

OK Guys and Gals, I am a new home brewer. In fact I have only made one homebrew. I’m happy to report that the nut brown ale turned out quite nice. Not the best beer ever, but it is very drinkable. Anyway, my in-laws gave me a $200 gift certificate to an online homebrew supplier for my...

Oh my god, I hate the auto-siphon, any other suggestions??

Ok, I am sure that all of you are completely over this topic, but I have to add my $0.02. I am a new brewer and have been racking my brain trying to figure out why my auto siphon was not working. After much frustration I realized that I had the wrong sized tubing. Replaced it with the correct...

    Newbie with Questions.

It is sitting at ~1.018 and should be at 1.012 when finished. I tasted it and found the mix to still be a little sweet, but I figure that the SG will continue to drop while in the second carboy. So I will be racking my first homebrew tomorrow. Thanks for all of the input.

    Newbie with Questions.

Thanks of all of the guidance. Big shock, I have a new question. Today I moved my primary carboy from the basement to the kitchen. I was planning to rack sometime tomorrow and I figured that I could use the 24 hours to let the beer settle. After the move, it’s fermentation started up again...

    Newbie with Questions.

I am yet to get a Colt, but I have a Kimber and a Para Ordnance 1911. Great guns indeed! :D I would love to get my hands on an original Colt 1911A1, but between my new brewing hobby and my other hobbies it will be a while! :(

    Newbie with Questions.

So I am very excited to have found y’all. I am brand new to home brewing and I have all kinds of questions. My first batch, Arsenal Beer Works Double Barrel Brown Ale (I will post the label when it’s completed), is in its first fermentation and is starting to slow a touch after ~3 days, which I...
