    Smell coming from fermentation chamber

I thought that's what it was. I stuck my head in there to see if my fermometer temp matched my inkbird temp and the smell of gas hit me in the face so hard that I almost passed out and fell face first into the freezer!

    Smell coming from fermentation chamber

I've set up a chest freezer with an Inkbird as my fermentation chamber. I brewed a batch of beer on Friday and placed the carboy in the freezer with a blowoff hose going into a jar of sanitizer. When I opened the freezer lid on Saturday morning I noticed fermentation had just started. When I...

I will be using a newly purchased Idylis 7.1 cu/ft chest freezer from Lowes as my fermentation chamber for the cooling side. I will be using a Fermwrap homebrew fermentation heater on my 6.5 gallon glass carboy for the...

Thank you for all the advice. I did the swamp cooler thing last night and I checked the fermentation temperature this morning and tonight and it's holding steady at 67 degrees!

    Fermentation temperature question.

New member and first post here. I've brewed a few batches of beer and I've had some issues with off flavors due to fermentation temperatures. I brewed a batch of beer today, a blonde ale. The temperature where I live is about 70 degrees today. I was able to chill my wort to about 74 degrees...
