    uber selection of soda syrup

    espresso and coffee flavor syrups already have a hearty load of sugar just cut with water and add yeast a starting ratio of 1:1 syrup:water sounds good but might need more water for strong flavors like almond and cherry etc. has anyone done this already...

    xylitol in RB?

    has anyone use xylitol as a sweetener instead of granulated/refined sugar or evap cane juice? it supposedly is lower calorie and better for your teeth. i wonder if the sugar geometry might make it too tough for yeast to process? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylitol

    questions for sima (finnish)

    recently made sima (swedish & finnish) found that initial carb was good but as more was consumed the carb decreased even at room temp is there a trick to keeping the carb up? change container size perhaps? thanks

    connecting CO2 to 2 L bottle for root beer?

    anyone done this successfully? how did you connect? i have a DIY carbonater cap and not sure if 30 psi will destroy the 2L bottle also unsure about tire stem valve/not thanks

    anyone use maltodextrin/barley malt/malt extract in RB?

    trying to modify my recipe as i go attempting to get more "mouth feel"/thinkness/body to the batch considering maltodextrin/barley malt/malt extract what are the differences could someone use oatmeal or some derivative? thanks
