    ergonomics-friendly brewing setup?

money isn't an issue and i'd happy to do that. Excuse my lack of knowledge, but is there a system like this for DME? its all i do. the ones I've seen online say they're for all grain (unless you can use them for DME and I don't know)

    ergonomics-friendly brewing setup?

hi guys, i believe home-brewing isn't the friendliest when it comes to back safety. lifting the 5G carboy or the pot can cause long term damages. and to be honest, I'm feeling it in my back. i bought this carboy carrier and i think its working fine for me. my issue is carrying the brewing pot...

rose wine? how to make it

hello, please excuse my very basic question. I've been making beer for few years now and a friend asked me to make rose. what's a good basic recipe i should follow? I have grape juice (white and red), sugar, and 2 different wine yeast (red star and lavlin ec-118 yeast). I also have some tannin...

thanks for the reply. No its not hard at all, its still powder-ish. but i'm debating whether i should bother with going through brewing process or not with it.

I left some DME in an open container for sometime, is it still usable?

hello there, after I did my last batch, I forgot to seal the bag that contained the DME. I believe it was left open for good 2-3 weeks until I discovered it. I quickly sealed it of course. Now I'm thinking of brewing again, I wonder if its still usable or not. Has any one gone through a...

My beer gives me a 'worse' hangover. is there anything wrong with it?

thanks guys, loved the suggestions. for those who think i drink too much, i don't think that's the reason. Because I'd have at most 2 pints for the whole night. I think its the temperature, where I live it gets very hot. So I had the AC on 24/7 when I did my next brew and it turned better. I'm...

My beer gives me a 'worse' hangover. is there anything wrong with it?

i noticed my homemade beer gives me a weird hangover sometimes. so I got to think maybe there is something that i do while brewing that does this. I do your typical homebrews, (i.e. boil 6lbs of DME of pilsner for 60mins + 3G or so of water + 1 bag of hops added at min60) and then ferment it for...

Can I "rebottle" a bottled batch?

If I want to get rid of the gas, do I risk of getting it oxidized? could someone explain the oxidization process for me? why is my wine at risk of being oxidized after bottling but not while bottling?

Can I "rebottle" a bottled batch?

Hi guys, usually I bottle my wine in plastic bottles, i usually consume them within a month so I'm not too concerned about longevity. Apparently the last wine batch I made was to gassy- I usually don't degas. I noticed the plastic bottles started bulging from the bottom and having a hard time...

Can I fix carbonation or is it too late?

Hello guys, I recently bottled a batch and it’s been carbonating for 3 weeks. When I tried it, it was undercarbonated. I went back to my notes and I realized I used half the sugar amount needed for carbonation per bottle. Can I fix this? Can I open all the bottles and add a bit more sugar and...

Can I remove CO2 tank from an idle keg?

sorry if my question is basic as I’m still learning. I just carbonated this keg but now I have to leave home for a month due to work. Can I disconnect the CO2 tank from the keg or do I have to keep it connected throughout this time?

I forgot to purge my keg. is my beer ruined?

I did fill the keg with a cane but I didn’t purge. Seems like the beer will be fine hopefully. My first time kegging there was an odd taste in the beer that’s why I was worried.
