Well, first batch is doing well, and I am going to start my second batch this Sunday. My first batch is a LME, honey ale (Bare Honey Ale):mug:. "My Home Brew" store in Colorado Springs helped with recipe. What are your suggestions for my next brew? Recipes would be great. Extracts only. I...

Best way to remove label glue?

I have been salvaging bottles at work (I work at a bar) and have just let them soak in Dawn and hot water for about 30min, then use a s/s scrubber. Couple of swipes and label and glue are removed.

    First brewday, cross your fingers!!!

OK, took gravity reading, 1.010, OG was 1.050. Tasted.....not bad!! Slight honey aroma but no honey taste, could be a little more bitter though. Will test gravity again tonight, may be bottling on Sunday, also starting new batch on Saturday.

I work at a bar and have collected and cleaned about 80 bottles that used to hold Fat Tire, Laughing Lab, and Sam Adams. Just need to get some caps before bottling. And thanks for the idea about the spray bottle.:mug:

Are you a Beer snob or connaisseur???

I explained to my son last night that beer is like steak, there are so many things to add to it to add or enhance flavor, and so many ways to prepare it. But when you get down to it, it is steak, and steak is good.
