    I picked about 2-1/2 pounds wet from 2 of my first-year Chinooks. They smell great, and I'm sure they'll be even better next year. My winch makes easy work of accessing the top of the 15 footers no problem.

    Rhizomes in fridge

    I kept some rhizomes in the fridge for about 3 months, and they grew just fine. They even started to sprout a bit. Like B-Hoppy said, make sure they stay moist and don't dry out.

    Do we really need to dry to ~10% moisture

    8-10% is really for pelletizing and bulk storage. Any higher, then the pelletizer will get gummed up and any lower, they'll just disintegrate.
