    Wort chiller question

I didn't like the fact I cant take apart a plate chiller so I went on mine with a counterflow chiller. The big benefit to me was it is much harder to plug and much easier to clean for me.

    Cider Kegerator musts?

Ok i have done this in the past before... I have the hardware to convert to commercial keg of cider any time i want and my tips are pretty easy. First of all i did not worry about special line as it is not important in a sense. It all follows the same rules of balancing the lines to make it pour...

    Looking for a gut check...

Any tips I would definitely like. I definitely will not be guessing at those temps I just don't have the instructions handy ATM. As for hops ultilization I was planning the usual 10% reduction.

Cant decide on a kettle looking for advice

is there any tricks to having a 15 gallon kettle but only using it to make 5 gallon batches? i think that is why i cant decide. I like having the bigger pot but with only using 1/3 of the pot the liquid level is awful low in compairison to using the 10 gallon kettle that is around 1/2 full

If i can hear my co2 tank does that mean it's leaking

soap and water in a spray bottle will show you exactly where the leak is. My bet its the regulator. If it does happen to be the co2 tank it is not repairable under that much pressure. I would drain the co2 slowly and go have it exchanged out if it was me, If it was just exchanged i would take...

    Scrapyard score?

I would be careful case in point. I work in the semiconductor industry and as part of my job i expose tubing to acid. While i have decontaminated the tubing and its safe you really can not tell from looking at it versus brand new tubing. If it was me i would try and find out where those were...

    Ball valve on Chugger output??

In my experience with any ball valve some are better than others. But they all cause some level of flow issues. If i have to use them i love full port valves as there is less geometry versus other types of ball valves. I personally prefer butterfly valves. Unless it is a major issue to your...
