    Ferment in keg ... how to measure volume?

    I just received a 6.5 gal keg to use as a fermenter and had this duh moment ... how am I going to determine how much wort I actually transferred from the boil kettle? Visibility is limited so ... some sort of stick? weight? Those of you that use kegs how do you determine your volume?

    Different OG - BK and Fermentor

    I've noticed an odd post boil SG difference depending on when I take my sample. My practice has been to dip a small glass in the BK after the whirl pool, cool it to 70* and take a reading.
