How many gallons of BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde have been brewed?

5594 +5 = 5599 Picked this for my first plunge into All Grain. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. It's looks great in the secondary and samples are good enough to drink now! (must be patient...). Kegging soon!

    Keezer Build

Sure thing. I built a dolly with swiveling wheels as a base then used L brackets to secure the skirt. Turned out OK, but I need to work on my 45degree joining skills. 😉 Thanks!

Sure thing. I built a simple base with swiveling casters and 2x4s then used L brackets to secure the skirt. I think it turned out ok. I need to work on my 45degree joining skills though. ;) thanks!

    Lid Question for No-Collar Keezer

Thank you. The lid is actually my first attempt at a concrete countertop. I used the countertop mix from my local HD and used charcoal colorant. It cracked a bit on the corner because I mixed it too wet and it warped the form slightly, but overall, I'm pleased. Cheers!

Accuflex Bev-Seal Ultra - length of line?

Don't bother with the heat gun, flare tool, etc. etc. method of installing on barbs. Use John Guest fittings (requires alternative to the barb end on keg and shank side). Easy push-in fittings and makes adjusting length (if needed) much easier! :) Shank...

    More keezer questions

I stuck my probe in an empty spice bottle (with metal lid) filled with water and siliconed around the hole in the lid where the probe wire goes in. Seems to work great with regards to temperature fluctuations (like opening the lid) and I wanted to measure the temp of liquid (beer) in the keezer...

    Lid Question for No-Collar Keezer

Thank you! It's Red Oak. I used Watco Danish Oil (Red Mahogany) and wet sanded the oil/stain to fill in the large Oak grain pores. Then multiple layers of oil/stain (3 I think). After thorough drying, I used a furniture wax (Minwax) for the final coat. Turned out great. Not bad for my first...

The chains were more of a necessity because the lid is fairly heavy. Heavy enough that the stock hinges weren't strong enough to keep the lid from wanting to go all the way back and fold over.

Thank you BrooklynTom! I built this on the installment plan ;) so it took a little longer than expected. Yes, now the fun part begins... Filling and emptying those kegs! Cheers and good luck on your build!

    Keezer Build

I haven't hooked it up yet but the taps do shut off completely. It's close, but there's a good 1/2" between the top of the handles and the trim. I may run into problems with bigger tap handles but I'm thinking I could always "modify" the trim near the handles if required. I'd like to try to cast...

    Keezer Build

Thank you very much! Basically I removed the factory lid and built a 1x10 collar with a 1x3 "lip" on the bottom which is where it seals against the freezer. I used foam insulation panels inside the collar to fill in the sides and the top. Slapped tile board on top of that, added 1x12 red oak...
