    Long fermentation

Well I'll take one today and check it again in a couple days. Would you think I'd be ok to dry hop?

    Long fermentation

I made an ipa from an extract kit on 11/26, only the third batch I've made so far. My other two had a normal period of active fermentation and they turned out pretty good. This one however, I pitched at a little lower temperature (63) and it took about 36 hours before I saw signs of active...

    West Coasters Help!!!!

Cool man, I feel the same way about heady topper. I've been trying for a long time to get my hands on some. Send me a direct message if you want to trade. If it's too much of a hassle to get heady then id be willing to trade for some other east coast stuff. It's really not that hard for me to...

I can get them. I live about an hour from the brewery and work up that way often. Where on the east coast are you? I've been trying to get some heady topper if at all possible.

    Reading material

I took you up on the home brewing podcasts. I spend a lot of time in the car for work so I've listened to about a third of them in three days. Also reading the How to Brew book online. Trying to take in as much as possible. Thanks for all the suggestions!

    Reading material

Looking to pick up a new home brew book. Being a beginner I'd love some suggestions that have some good beginning level instruction and maybe some slightly more advanced stuff. Thanks in advance!

Things I learned going from Home to Nanobrewer...

Gordie, Going to repeat what most people have said on the thread, very inspiring as someone who wants to do something like this at some point. Also, I go up to Windsor a couple times a month for work. Do you have an updated list of places where I can get your beer? I know it's been a few years.

Yet another did I ruin it.

Thanks for the replies. I re sanitized the bung before I put it back in, so mold shouldn't be an issue. And I actually let my girlfriend put it in this time I was acted to do it again lol.

Yet another did I ruin it.

So I was making my second ever batch. An ipa extract kit, everything went well from the beginning all the way up to right after pitching the yeast. I pitched, then apparently I hulk smashed the bung too hard and it popped into the carboy. So I sanitized my bottling bucked and dumped the wort in...
