    So I built this last night using 3/18 then 1/2 as he states in the video can be used, once I put the cap on the bottle I can still squeeze out air. Is there a leak I read that it wont seal until you put pressure on it is that true? Also How does the guy keep a hold of the cap while drilling...

    What size are you guys using there. I got all the parts but the hose clamp I got at lowes was a 2pack 1/4 - 5/8 it seems to big but its the smallest they have. Do you guys use something else? What size?

    Not sure how Id get a regulator with my setup I am proposing, remember Im using a soda stream type machine. I assume as long as I feel the bottle for rigidity I should be good (I hope). If you have an idea how i could set up a regulator then I am open to it

    Thanks Guys, I like the Oktoberfest Idea, I dont know why my mind didn't automatically jump to it! I love Sam Adams Oktoberfest, wonder if I could make a better brew than that. I will keep thinking about all of these, the beer is for teh wedding , and the mead or wine is for us to keep around...

    Time to get 3 gal to a boil? (stovetop)

    I did a second test today again 45 in rolling boil..Taking this information into account Im satisfied, come home put it on shower stat doing things and get to brewing in 45. Now once its wort is the "viscosity" (may not be right word) diff like when i stir in everything it obviously loses...

    Sounds good it was rolling boil prolly about 45 miniutes in I was testing just the water time.. Ill do another test later tomm with it on full power.. im not to concerned with 45 minutes I guess at least i can plan around it.. Thanks

    Mainly the issue is with storage space and quickness of the boil.. i also drink much less nowadays so the storage of not only the pot but the 50+ beers would be an issue.     would it be anything to worry about doing a 1 gallon boil for a 2.5 gallon batch of beer? also considering just buying 5 galllon kit and making in 2 seperate batches what would be an issue here hops hard to measure just reuse the yeast? any place that sells 2.5 gal kits?
