    DIY self closing taps?

    My buddy's neighbor is a home brewer and when I met him he had springs attached to his taps (non-perlick) making them self closing. I have looked online to see if there is some sort of kit for this. Anyone have a link or can give me some ideas for this? Thank you

    Citra tips?

    I have 4 oz of Citra I would like to use in a simple pale ale to get to know the hop better. One thing that frightens me is the cat piss thing people refer to sometimes when talking about Citra. Any tips to help avoid that? Thank you

    Stir bar sanitation

    I have read a lot about bucket fermenters and if they are scratched on the inside, they need to be replaced. I am looking at my stir bar and it is not smooth at all. How do you sanitize your stir bar?

    Stir plate need a push

    After I glued the magnets on the fan, every time I plug it in I need to shake the box just right to get the fan moving. I tested the fan before I installed it in the box but I still needed to give the fan a push. It works great once it starts spinning. Any thoughts? New fan? Weaker magnets?
