    Anyone ever brew a swankey?

Has anyone brewed this yet? I recently move back to PA after retiring from the Air Force and would like to make a smaller batch of this to try it out. I didn't know there was a recipe in Radical Brewing. Once I get my stuff (we are waiting to close on a house so it's all in storage) I'll have...

    Single-tier / space between kegs?

Trying to figure out a single tier system & I'm wondering how long I need to make my it. I think if I went with 60" length I'd only have like 4" between the burners/kegs or if I go 72" I'd have 8". I'm using a 16" wide measurement for the kegs.

    Small Batch

I need a mead recipie (non-sparkling) to make a gallon of mead. I haven't tried to brew it before so I just want a small batch. I've tried a couple different ones but I'm not sure which style so just plain. I have a bottle of Ring of Fire (Homer, AK) Rhubarb Melomel that I haven't opened...

    English Ordinary Bitter Attempt

How much do you recommend? I used the recipator to get the target IBUs. I hope it turns out good because my dad & mom are riding the Harley from PA to AK and I told them I'd have some ready when they got here.

    Dry hopping vs. keg hopping

What are the differences between dry hopping in secondary and keg hopping? I learned from somwhere that dry hopping is mostly for aroma. Also, wouldn't hops spoil after awhile if they sit in the keg?

    Attempting a bitter...

I'm wanting to make a bitter with a slight hop bite and came up with the following recipie after researching a couple clone recipies. Any suggestions? Should this turn out alright? I'm thinking something like the casked Adnams Bitter I had when I was in Laxfield, England pounding pints with...

First attempt at Porter (not much body)

It's liquid. I got the recipe from the local homebrew shop, so maybe I can go ask them how it's supposed to be. I'll keep it on C02 for awhile longer and see if it improves. It doesn't taste bad, just the mouthfeel isn't what I was expecting. Not too bad for a first attempt I guess.

    Ciao!

Hello, It's Dave. I just moved to Anchorage, AK from Italy. I've been spoiled on good, cheap wine & European beer the last 4 years. My good friend Scott got me into brewing a couple months ago. I've helped him with a couple batches of hopppppppy IPA, I brewed a Porter that is in the keg...

    looking for a hoppy nose

My buddy dry-hopped his last couple IPAs with Cascade and Chinook and they have a pretty good nose on it. The head retention is good too, so that keeps it smelling nice.
