The reason I wanted to find this out is because I'm really liking a pumpkin beer and it's only here for so long. So I was thinking about buying growlers of it and bottling myself so I can enjoy it for longer.
I'm brewing my first wheat beer and was wondering what the best carbonation lvl should be. Here's the recipe i brewed.
All-Grain - American Wheat Beer - 2nd place Best of show - 2011 HBT BJCP competition
I am doing a 6 gallon all grain beer and when I finished with my mash tun I had about 7.5 gallons. Is it ok to boil it down before starting first 60 min timer? The sg is a little low also so this should help it.
So I'm finally going to brew this today. I had a question on the mashing though. I know I'm supposed to use 1.3 quarts water/lb grain but how do I divide that between the strike water and the Sparge water? I have the same grain bill so it's 11lbs.
