Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Yup definitely signal strength, took the pi out of its enclosure, and closer to the bottom of the fridge. And the sensor came right up. I'll look into the repeater, might look into the tilt bridge project too. Thank you!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Yeah I guess the signal strength isn't the greatest. I think I'll try to get that tilt repeater. Is there a log file somewhere that I can check to make sure there isn't some other error happening? What's the best way to remove and re add the tilt? Could that change something? I'm assuming...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Hello, had my new Tilt set up and working fine, and sending to brewfather. now it isn't showing up at all. I am using a rpi3 with the latest buster image I think. I went as far as to Re image the pi and reinstall fermentrack but now the tilt wasn't really added back and there is nothing being...

Node-RED for Raspberry pi-based brewery control

Yeah I think just so I can understand everything better, I'll start from scratch and incorporate the things you've done, and add some things I've been thinking about, I'd assume with a node-red dashboard I could display a sort of real time temperature graph, and probably even color code based on...

Node-RED for Raspberry pi-based brewery control

@jangevaa Node Red seems really cool, finally got around to enabling it on my pi, and working on adapting your code to my single vessel ebiab. Certainly not plug and play, and excited to dive in to Node Red. My basic setup has a thermometer in the kettle and on the kettle out for controlling...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

So im running fermentrack with an arduino uno and want to add an I2C 20x4 lcd, I've got it wired to the arduino on the sda and scl pins, the screen has power, but nothing is displayed, is there something in the software I need to enable?

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Oh it's not the fridge cycling itself. So the system is turning the relay on and off. Sorry that wording was confusing.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I have a question about cold crashing, it seems like it would be more effective to just let my fridge run during a cold crash, but it still cycles on and off, is there a way to get it to just stay on, or a setting that helps it crash faster? also @Thorrak it would be great to be able to just...

Simple Pints - A Digital Taplist

Nothing else at all, just put it in the apache folder. This did inspire me to try to write my own app, and I am currently working on one using flask and python with just a simple sqllite database and a basic frontend to add and 'tap' beers with.

Simple Pints - A Digital Taplist

Got it up and running on my pi3 (running Buster), needed to run sudo apt-get install php7.3-xml to get the php simplexml code to work, but its up!

Simple Pints - A Digital Taplist

Alright great I will try to make that directory and load it up. I wrote a small program that displays a list of my 3 taps on a small lcd, and lets me manually log how much has been poured with a game controller. I'm thinking it might be possible to load that screen with the same beers.csv...

Simple Pints - A Digital Taplist

This is exactly what I'm looking for, I downloaded the files and put them on my pi, installed Apache, but not sure we're the 'usr' folder you mention is, should the example go in the /var/www/html folder?

Monitor, keyboard and mouse vs control pannel

I used this on my panel for my craft beer pi setup. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073HZ4STM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_IKu9Db0HXCXR5 But I only use it for when I can't get a network connection to the Pi. It all runs in a web server from the Pi that I access from a laptop. Having the pi also drive...

Building a 240v 5500w Craftbeerpi Single Heating Vessel System (EBIAB?)

So there's two plugins you can add from the plugin tab, pidautotune and pidboil. Then after a restart they are available for the heater logic. with pidautotune you add your typical water amount, and it runs and trys to maintain temperature for awhile then it gives you the PID values. You then...

Building a 240v 5500w Craftbeerpi Single Heating Vessel System (EBIAB?)

Ah okay, are you doing anything to hold the mash temps? Or are you just heating the strike water manually and then leaving the mash alone?

Building a 240v 5500w Craftbeerpi Single Heating Vessel System (EBIAB?)

So there's a plugin called pidboil that should kick over to a manual mode once it gets above a certain temp, is there a different way to put craftbeerpi into manual mode?

Building a 240v 5500w Craftbeerpi Single Heating Vessel System (EBIAB?)

What settings are you using for your heating element for mashing and boiling? I had thought I setup pid boil right but it just stayed on at 100% the whole time while boiling.

Show us your electric brewing rig

Looks great! I have a similar haier fridge and thinking about a ss brew bucket, do you think you'd be able to fit the domed lid on it in there?

    Water volumes

Yeah that's about right for me? Do you squeeze your bag a lot to get to boil volume?
