    Cleaning bottles in the Dishwasher?

    Would you drink this

    I have a bunch of Grains and Hops that I want to throw a quick recipe for this weekend. 7lbs of Maris Otter 2lbs of Crystal 40 1oz Columbus Hops (60min) 1oz Tettnanger Hops (10 min) have no Idea how it will turn out but I guess it worth a shot.

    Questions for a Newb

    1. Do I add my grains before or after the water? I have been ending up with 140 degrees, I tried to heat it up to 170 degrees but I'm losing so much, I also try to preheat my mash tun but still ending up with 140.

    I'm thinking about using plastic PET bottles for my home brews. does anyone here have any experience with them? Do they work? and can you reuse the caps? and anything else you would like to add about PET bottles would be great. thanks
