Anyone have a promo code for Northern Brewer - current one, that is!

Not sure this will help anyone here since you're all probably well into homebrewing at this point but 'beernews' gets 10% off the starter kits. Not a bad deal if you want to get a friend started into homebrewing.

    March Madness is here!!

One of the most exciting times of the year...winter turning to spring, St Pattys Day, baseball is near, bball season is coming down the stretch, and then you got the NCAA bball tournament. 1st couple rounds are fun to follow even if you are casual...so I started a picks group just now for...

    Hop Growing in Pennsylvania

No hops in Pennsylvania? Thought I'd share some tidbits on what Dan Weirback of Weyerbacher is cookin' up these days. Weyerbacher Harvest Ale

Another reason to like Boston Beer

Can't blame the guy, he did put out a story from today. It's just that mainstream media has no clue what's going on when it comes to craft beer. Do yourself a favor and check out many of the beer blogs out there. They are a fantastic resource of information. http://www.beerinator.com/beerfeeds2/

What commercial beers are in your 'fridge?

Tonight I'm drinking Bell's Expedition that has aged over a year. Not a huge fan though. I think this one was better fresh despite Bell's claim that this should be aged like a port. I'm guessing I'm in the minority here.

    Find Your Favorite Beer Website

Surprised this hasn't got any replies yet. Bout time someone did something like this. I think he'll have to change his approach though. I mean, I would think that keeping track of all the beers in all the bars would pretty difficult. I wonder if it will only allow a search to see the beer or...

    ebenezers pub Lovell, Me

It's definitely a good place. The high rating comes from a combination of good beers, Chris' hospitality, and the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere makes it all the more special. I was able to try 7 or 8 Belgians I'd never had before last time I was there.

    My Morning Jacket

I heard a song off of "Z." I couldn't tell you what it was called, I got it off of Amazon for free a while back but definitely sounded good. If I hadn't lost my what.cd account, I'd consider giving one of their records a spin.

I can't believe it - Troegs' Nantucket Nectar 1/2 bbl

That's awesome. This is one of the top IPAs that I have not tried yet. I'm actually surprised we don't see Troegs up in New England at all as we see a decent amount of the NY/PA stuff here. Most interesting 1/6 bbl I've seen is Southern Tier Java..but a 1/2 of a delicious IPA? Damn, you're...

    Tasting pointers?

I can definitely appreciate the fact that it looks like you're trying out brews that are no double IPAs, IPAs, or imperial stouts. Big beers are all the rage these dys and maybe for good reason but it's good to see someone paying respect to the other easily forgotten styles out there. Keep up...
