For Sale 10 Gallon Electric Brewery - Portland OR

Selling my 10 gallon electric brewery setup. Was able to make some decent beer on this but I've really lost the drive to homebrew at this scale. Asking $1750 for the whole shebang. I'd consider selling the pots separately. In the Portland, OR. area. 1 Blichmann G2 15 gallon Boilermaker HLT...

    Oregon Wallace Brew Stand

Selling my Weldless brewstand made from slotted angle-iron. This was built using the Wallace guide (http://www.aleiens.com/profiles/blogs/wallace-the-weldless-brew). This is plumbed for LPG and has three burners installed and included. The system is on lockable casters and was my main source of...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

Except the pico owners would have already bought into the pico to get into the forum, not sure why they would suddenly not want their hardware based on people who own a completely different product complaining about software that they never have to deal with or care about. Given that their forum...

SS Brewtech Purchase - What to do...

The brewmaster brewbucket has a thermowell (it costs $225 vs $195 for the non-brewmaster version). Personally I have a 14G chronical with FTSS and a 2.5G brewbucket mini with FTSS. They're both great. My Pros/Cons for the chronical over another fermenter (keep in mind I brew 10 gallon...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

Does your problem only happen during the mash? I had a problem like that and it turned out to be cracks in my step filter. It happened a second time as well and it turned out to be the little rubber plugs for the step filter were poorly designed and they sent me replacements. When the...

    picobrew zymatic questions

You can use most of your recipes, scaled down of course. You're limited in the hop additions you can (easily) do and theres an upper limit on the grain it can hold. I use mine to brew small batches before I brew the same recipe on my 10 gallon system.

    RIMS Rocket tripping GFCI Breaker

I'm sorry, when I said grounded with the 220 I meant the neutral line. I'm away from home for the week but I'm almost positive I checked that the metal case of the RIMS Rocket is connected to the neutral of the line, as you're correct, there is no ground on the 3 prong.

    RIMS Rocket tripping GFCI Breaker

Bumping this up with new info. I discovered that the unshielded ground wire from the outlet was hitting the metal breaker box before it went into the GFCI breaker, so solved that part of the problem. But there is a bigger issue I think. After fixing the wire problem the RIMS rocket can be...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

Just got my picobrew this afternoon. Running the cleaning cycle first thing because I would never want to run beer through something that smelled like that much plastic and neoprene.

    RIMS Rocket tripping GFCI Breaker

Good idea. My girlfriend has a kiln that used the outlet previously. I'll ask her about trying that out.

    RIMS Rocket tripping GFCI Breaker

I decided to test my RIMS setup this weekend and ran into some perplexing problems. I've got a Blichmann RIMS Rocket hooked up through a custom PID controller. The 220 comes from a 30 amp GFCI breaker with 3-prong dryer style plugs/extension cords. Everything seemed OK until I plugged the...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

After seeing the Picobrew at NHC and talking to their reps and Annie I've decided to bite the bullet and pick one up. I plan on using it to iterate through recipes so that when I brew on my 10 gallon RIMS system I'm not wasting my time with beers I'm not going to enjoy or want to submit to...

It should siphon out until the water level gets below the inlet on the dip tube. On my G1 there isn't much liquid left at all by the time it stops flowing.

    Greetings From Sunny Portland

Hi there, I've been lurking for a while now and decided to finally post. Been brewing all grain for 7 years now, with a short break when I moved to Portland OR. But now I've gotten a friend interested in brewing and thats got me going again. Currently do 6 gallon batches every 2 weeks...
