    Belgian Dubbel Ommegang Abbey Dubbel

I'm looking for a new Dubbel recipe to try out. I think I'll give this a try and report back. Has anyone tried it out again recently?

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

It's been a while since I posted, I know a few people had mentioned that PlatformIO was a bit of a pain to set up. I thought I'd try to help out and write up a tutorial on how to get it running in case people were still struggling. In case this helps anyone: How to setup BrewPiLess using...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Have you had any luck with it? @Bigdaddyale I fully understand. PlatformIO was a hassle to understand and I work in tech, I use VSCode everyday for my work (mostly python though). It took me a good while to understand and get it running. And then when I switched from esp32 to 8266 it was like...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I feel it's worth noting that if you flash a pre-compiled binary instead of building yourself, you cannot modify the pin assignment. But you mentioned thorak's board so you shouldn't have an issue. PlatformIO let's you build from source and flash the board right inside visual studio code. You...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Hi there @Taps , my experience is that there is a series of pins that are pre defined in the software. You can find them in the documentation or under the src folder open the config.h header and scroll down. You'll see there that the different pins are listed. There's a couple of different...

    MJ M29 French Saison

Hey there, thought I would add my experience. I brewed the Cottage House Saison from Revvy and used this yeast. I didn't have great temperature control, but did put the brew belt on the fermenter. It stayed between 28 and 30c for the first week, except one night when I turned it off by...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I've built and started using the Brewpiless setup on an ESP32 with iSpindel. I absolutely love this project. I have a RPI on hand, so I may try that out as well, but the idea of just using the ESP chip on its own really appealed and makes it super portable. I have a father in law who really...

Belgian Dubbel Award Winning Dubbel XL (40th batch)

I brewed this up this weekend. I had to sub Special B for Weyerman's Special W. The grain supplier didn't have special B. I had been reading Brew Like a Monk, and about Belgian styles in general, there's a lot of recommendation to do step mashes to get a more highly fermentable wort out of the...

    Saison Cottage House Saison

It's been several years (5 I think) since I did any home brewing. I came back to it just yesterday evening and brewed up this amazing beer. I didn't want quite as much alcohol so I cut the honey in half at the end of the boil and ended up with an OG of 1.053. Otherwise I followed your recipe...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thanks so much for that clarification, and answering me so fast. I misunderstood. I'll pick up the 8266 as you suggested. I've got a few Arduinos around I can try this out with. Really appreciate it and I love the whole platform!

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Hello! I'm just getting this set up for the first time, I'm wondering if i could ask for a bit of help. I'm using Fermentrack to flash an ESP32 (ESP-WROOM-32) on a DOIT devkit v1 development board. I've chosen the ESP8266 for the board since the ESP32 firmware was only for tilt bridge...

    Home Brew Shops in London

Hi everyone! I've been a home brewer for a little over a year now and have loved every minute of it. However I recently moved from Canada to the United Kingdom and i've been having trouble finding a solid home brew shop. Where i lived i had access to www.torontobrewing.ca which had a...
