    Office water cooler to chill??

I've been looking at how these things work and I believe y'all are right. I can't use it for chilling wort, but I believe there is some use for all these components. I got it free and haven't actually tested it yet to see if it works, but it has a hot water spigot and heated hot water reservoir...

    Office water cooler to chill??

I recently got my hands on an office style water cooler...the kind that you put the bottles upside down on. I wonder if there's some way I could utilize it to chill my wort. Any thoughts?

    ABV of Whiskey Porter

So I brewed a 5 gal Porter which checked at 7% after primary. While that was happening, I had a bunch of oak chips soaking in 16 oz of 40% whiskey. After primary was complete, I racked the Porter onto the chips AND the whiskey. How much is my final ABV? Just trying to think it through, here's...

    Naming the endeavor...

Thanks, sboyajian. We currently live in Texas but recently bought some land in central Tennessee. Two or three years from moving, but we visit the Smokeys every chance we get. Love it out there.

    Favorite Podcasts??

Greetings! I'm wondering if anyone has any favorite audio or video podcasts they would recommend. I've seen almost all the BrewingTV video podcasts as well as the Basic Brewing Video podcasts. Both were helpful but I really enjoyed the BrewingTV episodes. Anyway...thanks for sharing!!

    Best grind??

This weekend I will be doing a 2 gal BIAB Maris Otter/Cascade SMASH. Anyonewith BIAB experience or knowledge, what's the best grind for my grains in order to achieve the best efficiency? Seems like a finer grind would be better.

    1gal Strawberry Wheat

So I used 1lb of Wheat DME and 1/4 oz of Centennial. I added 16oz of Breyer's all natural Strawberry ice cream topping to the primary and let it run. Tasted after ferm and there was no strawberry flavor left. I racked to 2nd with 16 more oz of strawberry which triggered another shorter...

    Earthy Pale Ale

I'm wanting to brew up a Pale Ale with a very Earthy/Natural/Organic flavor and aroma. If you've ever walked into Earthbound Trading Company, that's what I would like this beer to wind up like. That smell and general feeling. Kindof a Patchouli/ Nag Champa kind of thing. There are several hops...

    1gal Strawberry Wheat

I have a few spare ingredients and realized I could make a 1gal batch of wheat beer. My wife likes Red's Strawberry "Ale" so I figured I would make a strawberry wheat beer. I'm using a pound of wheat DME. Now the question...should I use Citra, Centennial, or Simcoe? Those are the three I have...
