    Strange taste in my most recent mead.

    So I just tasted my just most recent "experimental" batch of mead. It was suppose to be an orange and vanilla mead, but it tastes nothing like the intended flavors "orange nor vanilla", instead it tasted like straight alcohol (which is expected from a champagne yeast), with no flavors...

    Worm like thing in beer.

    Have any of you guys ever seen a worm like thing in your beer? Buddy got this in his the other day. The manufacturer stated "This is brewer's yeast. " But of all the ciders I have made, and all the beers I have ever drank; I never encountered anything like it.

    noob Cider questions

    So I have 2 batches going at the moment(first and second batches). 1) With smaller batches is the time in the first fermentor going to be shorter, I would assume it would, but would like to make sure. I am trying a run of apple jack recipe but did a 2.5 gal batch instead of 5 Gal. 2)...
