    New brewer mistake

I'm wondering if the temperature had anything to do with it? I had it fermenting at about 65 degrees.

    New brewer mistake

Thanks so much for the help. My last beer had some off flavor of almost a nail polish remover and when I did that last night I had a little freak out because I didn't know if that would do anything. Lessons learned today is to take several reading and no secondary needed. I plan to leave the...

    New brewer mistake

Thanks for the help guys. I still have lots to learn and last night I don't know why I had a mini melt down lol. So I'm guessing abv is different then the instructions alcohol content? When doing the calc from the instructions the abv was 7.22 but the instructions stated alcohol content should...

    New brewer mistake

Hello all! So I brewed a Belgian Saison about two weeks ago (this is only the second time I've brewed a beer). I went to take a SG reading and got a 1.015 which was only .002 off of what the instructions final was so i siphoned it off into my secondary. Well, while washing my fermenting bucket I...

I kegged and force carbonated my first ever batch of White House Honey Porter yesterday. I decided to pour a glass today and it came out pretty good. So I am pretty happy how this batch came out. Time to plan what my next batch will be!

    Brewed my first ever beer!

Thanks guys!!! So I took a gravity reading yesterday and got a reading of 1.014 down from 1.069 which was spot on with what the instructions said the FG would be. I drank the sample and it was excellent. Even though most people say secondary is not needed, I decided to try it out this time. So...

    Hello from NJ

I hear the Montgomery store is bigger. When I walked into the Bethlehem store it was like a kid walking into a candy shop :) and the guys at the store were very helpful. I definitely will let you guys know how my brew comes out, so far it smells great and it's making me thirsty for it haha.
