    Just checked my gravity and it's at 1.018 Perhaps not necessary but I'm racking to a secondary for a few weeks before I bottle. Will likely use gelatin in bottling bucket.     Perfect. Thanks for the link. I bottle mine I stead if kegging and so that's a question I just had answered. Gelatin into bottling bucket, and no work about not having yeast left over to carbonate it. Very cool.

    My fermentation took off like a champ. Huge level of foam after 4 hours. About 48 hours later it fell. Is that kinda fast? Anyways, it smells great, figure I'll take a gravity sample in about 10 days. I'll probably rack to secondary to let it clear up a little.

    Went to my LHBS today and couldn't get an Pale LME. They carry mainly Briess LME and guy said they donbt make a pale. HE suggested juts using the Golden Light LME, which they only had in 3.3 lb tubs, so Im supplementing the rest with Golden Light DME. Any thoughts on a different outcome...

    All my extract kits are darker than they should be

    Most all of my extracts have been this way as well. Never done an all grain so couldn't compare but I've read as much that the late edition of the LME helps. Will be trying this with my next batch.
