    Question about Homebrew Wort Chiller.

    A trick I've learned is that you can fill the tube with sand before you bend it (put a temp cap on one end). This will let you bend it, but the sand won't let the tube collapse/kink.

    My father, who does a lot of construction and electrical work, says that compressors should not be plugged into GFIs. We had to run a new line in my garage for my kegerator.     So, I dropped a hot dog bun into my boiling wort...

    While reading this, I was thinking it could be a real time saver if you cooked your hotdogs in the boiling wort. Dinner AND beer with no more mess! Might make some tasty dogs, too. Though, I might try and keep the bun dry..

    Cutting the Dip tube

    I knew I read this somewhere. Took me a little while to find it. If you do cut it, you need to passivate it, so that it will not rust. Basically, you need to clean it and let it be exposed to the air for awhile (1-2 weeks). How to Brew - By John Palmer - Passivating Stainless Steel
