    Fruit Beer Lemon-Lime Hefe Weizen

I poured the limeade in as soon as fermentation died down. Approx 3 days after pitching yeast. I scaled down to smaller batch so not sure about the quantity but i would follow the recipe and youll be fine. The limeade will start fermentation again as the yeast will go after the new sugar. Hope...

    infection?

Fermented 2.5 weeks. Hydrometer gave 3 consecutive readings. They are a little too long to be strands of coconut.

    infection?

I cracked open one of the bottles to check, the carbonation was perfect. The beer smelled like beer, it was not sour, and had no vinegar aroma or taste, if anything it was sweeter than I anticipated. Im kind of confused as to what could be causing the stringy stuff, there is a lot of crud...

    infection?

Hey guys. I brewed brooklyn brewshops coffee and donut stout a few weeks back and its currently in its 3rd week of bottle conditioning. After about a week in the bottle i noticed the top of the beer was kind of oily looking. At first i thought this might be normal since the recipe has coconut in...

    Over pitched s04

Hey guys. Just attempted by second batch of brew and everything went great except im pretty sure I over pitched the yeast. Ive been reading that most packets of yeast are sold for the standard 5 gallon batch so for a 1 gallon batch you should use half a packet. Not thinking too much about it I...

    carbonated after 16 hours?

Thanks for the help guys. Temperature is the same as the fermenter. 70 degrees. Priming sugar was honey added to a bottling bucket.. used brooklyn brewshop kit recommendation of 3 tablespoons of honey disolved in 1/2 cup water for the batch. bottle foamed when opened but didnt gush and poured...

    carbonated after 16 hours?

Hey guys. Bottled my first ever batch of brew today after fermenting for 2 weeks and a couple steady hydrometer readings. I bottled in plastic and after 16 hours I noticed the bottles were already fairly pressurized so I opened one up to see how much pressure and the beer started to fizz. I...
