    Roggenbier_ Tips? Techniques?

I'm doing a Roggenbier in a couple of weeks. My set up consists of the 5 gallon coolers with the false bottom and I batch sparge (I know fly sparging is cooler but I can't spend any more money except on ingredients for a month or two). So I figured I would go a little heavy on the rice...

    Cream Ale

I once made a Cream Ale by mistake once. I had made a generic pale ale and a cold snap essentailly lagered the beer after the primary. It was great. It really tasted a light malty creaminess and very smooth but a slight kick with the bittering hops. I didnt take notes because it really was...

Brewed up an AG ESB. 82% efficency, hit everything spot on. Pitched the yeast and its been bubbling for 5 friggen days. As the fermentation draws to a close, for the first time since I started I'm thinking about skipping the secondary. I want to leave it in the primary for a few more days...

    Christmas Ale

Finally got my Holiday Ale together. I was starting to panic there. Should be a nice change. I usually throw down with a spcied beer but this time i added some orange zest and honey, in addition to the traditional spices. The flavor will be pretty intense, but it should mellow over the next...

I think I'm in trouble - (oily beer?)

Just brewed up a flavored beer (stout) I boiled the heck out of the to try to break down the oils as much as possible. Still as I pitched the yeast it looked a little greasy. I lov experimenting but hate drinking 5 gallons of lousy beer.

    Hello from the North Shore

Hi. I've got about 10 years of homebrewing under my belt. My life has been hectic over the last couple of years so not much happened there. But I'm looking to get back into the game. It was just by chance that I stumbled onto this forum. I'm glad I did. Great recipes, a lot of info...
