    I have started to do a biab 10gal recipe mash then split into 2 - 5 gal recipes. ie.. pils/amber, APA/porter, porter/amber. I try to mash all common grains and then do a 2nd mash and boil on the stove with steeping grains and after the split add to one of the fermentors. OR mash all together...

    #1 2nd allgrain brewday, read the therm as C instead of F #2 Boil over check #3 no priming sugar prepared check #4 Ran my strike water to the MT, then when adding the next batch of water to the HLT valve still open and running room temp water to the MT! thin mash that day. #5hose running too...

    didnt even want to drink this one for about the first 8mo of its life. but now wow! did it change. all the flavors have melded together and it is a very nice beer sure glad i held onto this one and didnt dump it! (my personal taste is not keen to spiced beers) spiced beer still not my forte...

    Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

    Brewed in dec of '15 and racked to a keg jan 31 '16. aged and bottled till Nov '16 for consumption at christmas! very good stout. I didnt oak it but that is a flavor coming thru a bit when cold. however let it warm a bit to not quite room temp ~50F and wow does it improve the drinking...

    Brewed this last weekend, looks and smells great, very subtle spice notes which is why i chose this particular recipe. looking to get it bottled and aged a few weeks b4 christmas with the family. not a lot of craft drinkers so will let you know how this comes out. thanks for the recipe!
