    stopper keep popping up

    Using Starsan? In my experience this causes neoprene (which is what most stoppers are made from) to become "slick" until it dries. I have carboy handles on my glass carboys and fashion a rubber band around it to help hold down the stopper.

    New Brewer - Greetings from NW Ohio

    Welcome! I'm in the Toledo area as well. There is a pretty good homebrew club in the area, The Glass City Mashers. They are on Facebook, it's a closed group, so you have to ask for access. Monthly meetings downtown. You should check them out.

    Great recipe, thanks! I used Wyeast 1056 and my efficiency on my mash was a little greater than I expected - 1.050 was my starting gravity, so I upped the hops a bit (27 IBUS) to stay right on that evenly balanced/slightly hoppy line.

    Plastic 1/6 bbl pub kegs- anyone tried em?

    I like mine a lot. Really light and easy. You will need replacement an o ring. I found a good replacement at my local hardware store. A little beefier than the one that came with it. See photo below.
