    Brewing a Belgian Quad

Tons of good info for you in this thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=500037

    Tower of Power question

That's an option I've considered, but I'd really like to find a new thermocouple/temp sensor that reaches the bottom of the thermowell, is 1/2" NT, and has the same 4 wire QD if I can.

    Tower of Power question

Not exactly an electric brewing question, but figured this section would probably be the best place to ask. I've been using the Tower of Power to heat and maintain temps in my HLT for a while now. I've recently upgraded my HLT to one that has a 4" thermowell though. I'm afraid the short...

    Florida Huna DAY 2017

No thread for Huna day yet? I'm sitting at a dead stop on I75 on my way to Tampa as I type this. Who else is gonna be around this week?

    Extreme heat tolerant yeast strain

Wow, sparked a bit of interest I see. The Sigmund Voss is definitely it. Thanks everybody!

    Extreme heat tolerant yeast strain

Bare with me here, I know I have hardly no details, hopefully someone else remembers this though and can help me out... Read a story a year or two back about someone in Europe (I want to say Holland, but I may be making that up.) Had isolated a yeast strain that was performing remarkably...

Road trip advice request for those out west

Aright guys, I need some help, haha. I'm in Santa Cruz for the night and debating if the lost abbey stop is worth the extra ~200 miles. Their sours are some of my favorite US beers I've had, but I have this feeling I'm gonna get down there and get not a whole lot more than I could find in...

Road trip advice request for those out west

I'm leaning towards 101 as I'd love to hit the Firestone in PR as well as some barrel works in Buellton. Leaving portland today with Redding as my end goal for the night, so may be a day ahead of schedule already.

Road trip advice request for those out west

I am heading down as far as San diego. I decided it'll be a long time, if ever, before I get another chance to hit the Lost Abbey so I'm just going to make it happen. As of now the plan is to spend Fri night in San Fran, and sat night in san diego. That could change a day or two in either...

    Electric 10bbl

Don't forget, you have to clean that stuff. This is why breweries move on to "big boy equipment." Their product starts to suffer tremendously. Plastic is MUCH less forgiving than stainless in regards to cleanliness and sanitation.

    Electric 10bbl

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble here, and I truly hope you can prove me wrong and be successful at whatever you're doing. But there simply isn't a GOOD and cheap way to do these things. If there were, why would companies like Stone, Sierra Nevada, etc.. spend MILLIONS to do the same...

Road trip advice request for those out west

Haha, get stuck as in not want to leave, not literally stuck, I assume, right? Lost Abbey(s) are my main focus down there, everything else will be gravy. Got a good friend living in ABQ so hopefully he knows all the best spots to take me while I'm there.

For Real? Keurig / Inbev Collaboration - Homebrew Device

You guys crack me up, if you boycotted everything made by a company that didn't give a **** about you you'd be living in the woods naked. Get over it.

    California San Marcos/Cardiff advice needed

Awesome, thats helpful. I read on the Confessional page of Lost Abbeys site that they have Hop Concept and Port brewing also, is that not really the case? My main focus is the LA stuff so not a huge deal, but variety is always nice.

    California San Marcos/Cardiff advice needed

I have a thread going about a road trip I'm about to make (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=598628) But have re-thought some things and decided to change my route. I'm cutting out vegas and instead going a little further south in Cali to get a few more brewery stops in. The main...

Road trip advice request for those out west

For starters, I have ever been west of the Mississippi except for basic training in Oklahoma. A friend recently bought an old Ford truck in Portland and its actually cheaper for him to fly me out there and drive it back across the country than it is for him to ship it. So, I get a cross...

Looking For A Little Help From VA Beach

I'm not at the beach but a few hours away. Don't see a ton of YVBC distro up my way but there is a bit on occasion. I'll keep my eyes open and see what strings I might be able to pull. If anyone else can help out, please don't assume I've done so, its a long shot.

    B-brite in ferment bucket

It is a cleaner/sanitizer. Here is the MSDS if you'd like to check it out: http://www.oateslaboratories.com/documents/downloads/msds/rp/b-brite.pdf Regardless of what it was, a couple DROPS of an already diluted chemical into a 5 gallon batch of beer, he's going to be fine. OP, in...
