stuck handle jacket on perlick 630 faucet

Tried a different set of channel locks last night and got both of them loose on about the 30th try :) I learned my lesson - hand tight means hand tight. Thanks all.

stuck handle jacket on perlick 630 faucet

Well, the handles are off ... kinda. I'll post a picture after I get home to explain. Basically, for both handles, they are 2 part handles -- and the top (main) part screws off, but the bottom part is still attached to the jacket. So that's actually a second problem I have! I guess I didn't get...

stuck handle jacket on perlick 630 faucet

Quite embarrassed to even ask this, but .... 2 of my 3 perlick faucets have the handle jacket stuck on: essentially it is piece 1 here that I am unable to unscrew...

Keezer - 1 tap not working

I have a 3-tap keezer, using commercial kegs. Suddenly the first faucet doesn't pour. I am using this distributor: http://www.kegconnection.com/air-distributor-3-way-with-check-valves/ The left-most one is the line to the keg which doesn't pour. I've tried re-tapping the keg, and I've...

magnets & brackets for drip tray

For those of you who painted your keezer black, do any of you have problems with strong magnets scratching the paint?

    Fan addition to keezer

So the fan is a DC fan also, right? Not an AC fan?

    Fan addition to keezer

I bought 2 big computer fans, wired them to old cell phone chargers so I can just plug them in the power strip behind the keezer. I screwed the fans to small pieces of 2x4 so I can move them around as I wish. One is currently at the bottom in the corner, and I jammed the other 2x4 between 2...

    Chest freezer kegerator

I used 3 welding magnets I got at Harbor Freight for $2.50/ea. I painted them black. Additionally, I put black electrical tape on the part that would be against the freezer, preventing them from scratching my paint. The drip tray sits on these 3 magnets. I then put 3 rare earth magnets on the...

    Colorado Stainless Steel Keg Faucets

I bought these from Keg Connection in their 3-keg commercial kit. I upgraded to Perlicks. 1 of these has literally never been used, the other 2 have had ~maybe~ 20 beers each poured through them. I won't lie or mislead, I upgraded to Perlicks because these were a bit sticky if you didn't pour...

    How to hard-wire the STC-1000

I did the direct wiring as well (I believe I got the idea from Trevster's build post). here is my little diagram I drew up (for a GE 7.0 cu model). Just mounted it by cutting a hole in a little piece of scrap metal with a dremel. Never understood why I'd want to keep the old controller in place.

    Freezer painting question

Mine had a smooth finish, but like they said, just used 200 grit sandpaper and painted away. The first coat will come off looking like camouflage, fear not. Coat 2 will make it look better. I did 3 coats of black rustoleum appliance paint and the thing looks terrific... just sanded before...

Painting the keezer.... in the cold?

So I painted the freezer 6 days ago -- in the warm -- then brought it inside to dry. It was obvious I needed another coat as there were some spots that just needed it. The can said I have to wait a week, so I am almost ready to do so. Going to take the same approach, it's supposed to be in...

Painting the keezer.... in the cold?

Got it painted! All is well. Kept it inside for a night then moved it outside when it was 60 degrees -- put on a few coats, and brought it back inside to dry (it got down to the 20's overnight). Seems fine -- but I will need another coat as there are some spots on the corners and other random...

Painting the keezer.... in the cold?

Thanks for all the tips, I've held off on this for now. However, it looks like a high temperature of 57 tomorrow. I brought the freezer inside the house and have it disassembled (lid removed, hinges removed, etc.) and have it all the important stuff taped off for painting. I figure it will be...
