    ReOxidize Alum Brew Kettle?

    I scorched the bottom of my aluminum brew kettle and had to clean with a lil pbw and green scrubbing pad. Do I have to do a mock boil again to regain the oxidation layer? Thanks in advance. And thank you to all that serve and protect our country. Happy Birthday America!

    Will I have carb issues?

    I have a 5 gal full boil extract wlp029 Kolsch sitting in a 34*f fridge for the last 5 weeks. Will I have enough yeast in suspension to properly carbonate when I prime and bottle? A fellow HBer advised to hedge my bet and use carb tabs/drops just in case but I'd rather not.

    Effects of sunlight on bucket

    During the initial fermentation my 6.5 gal buckets remain in my dark, temperature stable basement. I'll normally bring them upstairs to my living room to warm up and finish. Do I have to worry about sunlight hitting my uncovered bucket? I've personally never tasted any ill effects. Just curious...
