    Extract flavoring

It tasted good but didn't really have a distinct cranberry flavor. We were making for my wife and his fiance. I'm not to big on fruit beers but they wanted one. It tasted good but they wanted more cranberry taste. I used the extract from Rebel brewer. Sent from my EVO using Home Brew mobile app

    Extract flavoring

So if we add just cranberry in the boil and not add the extract after fermentation it should produce the cranberry taste?

    Extract flavoring

We put crushed cranberries in the boil at 60 mins then our hops. Then put it in the fermenter for 7 days. We hit out FG for three days and kegged it. When we put it in the keg is when we put three ounces of cranberry extract. I had found a recipe that was simlar to what we wanted and substituted...

    Extract flavoring

So my friend and I have brewed quite a few good brews. We have tried two brews with extract flavoring after we keg it and both have turned horrible after the extract addition. Both have tasted good before we kegged it then after we add the flavoring it tastes horrible. We tried a cranberry...

tap tower vs beer shank setup

ok so I'm thinking of some different ways to put my beer on tap. I have a custom bar I built and I'm looking at either a tap tower or taps via shank. so I can either build a small box and house shanks with taps which I could extend later in for more taps or a tap tower and I would have to buy...

    I quit!

Don't want to hijack the thread but I had a similar situation a few days ago. Just last weekend my friend and I were going to brew a Chocolate Porter. So we start off by lighting my propane burner to bring our mash water to temp. Ran out of propane in 5 mins form firing it up. So I...

    The Labelnator - A Review

I used a straight blade on a few bottles and they worked great. So far just on Yuengling, Angry Orchard, Shock Top, Fat Tire, and Leinenkugel. I have a few Leinenkugel and Shock Top I'm going to do when I get home.

    Got my kegs and CO2

The kegs and Co2 tank were craigslist scores. The bar I built a few years ago to serve beer on tap for cookouts and family get togethers. Really the only other things I need is gas and liquid tubing, fittings, and the taps. Since I got the expensive parts out of the way pretty cheap I can go...

    Got my kegs and CO2

So I got the expensive parts out of the way. I scored 2 5 gal ball lock kegs and a 20# co2 tank with co2 in it for $140. Got a fridge and chest freezer for free so I can build either a keezer or kegerator. Now time to convert my bar I built into a wet bar with beer on tap. Can't wait!

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

I almost bought a Mr.Beer kit a few months ago. My wife found a opened but unused one on some classifieds site she is on (not craigslist) they wanted $20 for it. how to brew the book

Finally finished reading how to brew. That book helps a lot understanding all the different aspects of brewing. Any other books that are recommended after how to brew? I've done two all grain brews and they have turned out pretty good so far. So I'm hoping to maybe get more into complex...

    First brew.

Oh wow! A year later... If it improves a little in the next week that would be great! My only complaint is I want it a hair smoother but other then that it is great. Maybe by Friday it'll change a hair and be just a bit smoother. Thanks!
