    When do I rack, it's still working with all of the berries (crushed) in the carboy but it's still bubbling regular been three weeks since I started it

    Blackberry Wine

    Having issues ,crushed 1.2 gal of blackberries ( previously frozen ) added the crush to almost 3 gal of water plus #5 cane(dissolved ) . Not getting anything working yet , should I add a wine yeast ? I had also heard it is a bad idea to try it with water from a water softener , is this true...

    Hey , did a search for homebrew forums and here I am . Just started a winemaking class this year and my first batch is ready to rack so things are good there . Did it with wild yeast ,tastes great ! I had a lot (7 gal ) of blackberries frozen and wanted to do a recipe I found crushed the berries...
