new KT brewer in cold climate

I realized I have a heated dog water bowl I sometimes plug in outdoors on the coldest winter days. Its not cold enough to use it yet - but maybe I could plug it in on my kitchen counter and put my glass jar of brewing KT in the bowl to see if that adds just a bit of warmth. I don't know if its...

    Kombucha temperature control

I'm reading all I can about this and I came across this: from the Tribe webpages about kombucha. http://users.bestweb.net/~om/~kombu/FAQ/part01fb.html#BM673 6.90 How can I keep my Kombucha warmer in the cool months? Potting Pad-You can buy a "potting pad" at your local greenhouse...

    Kombucha temperature control

Calbadose - how did the reptile heater work for you in the long run? I am also considering that in my very cold house (with my 1 gallon jars).

    Kombucha temperature control

Christmas lights? I like that idea! I'm only trying to keep a 1 gallon jar in the proper temperature range - but my kitchen can be in the 60s all winter long.....and I'm a beginner so if the cool-ness throws off the KT, I might not know exactly what the issue is.

If I bought/found a container slightly bigger than my 1 gallon jar - could fill it half way with water and just dip the plugged-in fish heater into the...

new KT brewer in cold climate

I'm just a single person with a small cool (temp-wise) apartment trying to brew my first batch (1 gallon) and I'm realizing that there is no place that will be consistently 70 degrees in my house (actually, daytime temps are more likely to be in the low 60s and night time temps could be in the...

Thank you - I appreciate your help! (I'm sure I'll have more questions, but I really appreciate your quick and helpful responses to these questions)

new to KT: dregs of bottled KT and another question

I was afraid of that (that the fact that I drank right from the bottle might have contaminated my brew) - I don't know what I was hinking - I guess I wasn't thinking. Should I begin again? If I really love the taste of Katalyst Kombucha brand pure essence flavor KT - can I just pour a bottle...

new to KT: dregs of bottled KT and another question
