    From primary to keg...

Edited to add ... I just had a closer look at my keg .. and well it is 5 US gallons .. So now I am tending to believe the mark that was on my primary for 5 US gallons is in the wrong place .. I never measured the water when adding I just filled it to the line geesh anyway now about 20 batches...

Can I save a small amount from my keg (somewhere) so I can start a new full keg

I am getting company and I cannot drink the dozen or so glasses left in keg .. I want to empty it and clean everything and refill with a new batch, to force carb. Is there a way to save what is already in there .. I Do not have a bottling gun? Thanks So much Jan:confused:

How often should corny keg seals/gaskets be replaced? and? and?

I have no idea how old these are 1st time around I got a good seal but this time no luck. Plus ran out of CO2 Is it safe to leave beer in there until I can get more CO2? Because of the leak this time there is no pressure in it. Will be a few days before I can get more CO2. So ? is leave it in...

Do the after bottling Hydrometer readings mean anything?

I'm brand new to this and was just curious ... I guess it was a bad thing to do but perhaps it is showing some of us different things that can happen. Thank you all for your input Signed Work In Progress Jan :mug:

Do the after bottling Hydrometer readings mean anything?

ohoh and here i thought it was great! I used 3/4 cup of the sugar as suggested for ales I dissolved the sugar in 2 cups of boiling water then mixed into the batch slowly. I did take the reading at fridge temp <<< so no I did not correct it. :o I will try again tomorrow on a room temp...

Do the after bottling Hydrometer readings mean anything?

Just curious I suppose as this is my first batch. It went from about 1.012 back up to 1.030 so well i was suprised. Perhaps irrelevant? It tastes great ... not real fizzy but definately carbonated ... its a few days early. tia jan
