It worked, although I wouldn't try with anything that has moderately-high to high carbonation. The caps aren't designed to hold a lot of pressure.
Try a few next time you bottle.

I bottled my hefe last weekend, tasted one of em today and its all clove with a 70 degree ferment (not a complaint). Used Wyeast 3333, so what gives? Will i get some banana flavors as it bottle conditions?
Has anyone ever tried to bottle their beer/cider in these? Good idea? They have a metal screw top that's airtight since the water comes carbonated and hold 750ml (~25 ounces). Feels like a waste tossing out these bottles, and it could make bottling a cinch.
I just bottled a cider with an SG of 1059 and FG at 0994, which is an apparent attenuation of 110.8% and real attenuation of 89.8%. Fermented for 20 days and ended up 8.5% alcohol. What were your gravity readings?
I used Nottingham Ale yeast from a brown ale I made. Its on the drier side...
I did the BB english brown ale as my first beer. I like how it came out, others have said the same. It keeps getting better as it carbs in the bottles.
