    Belle Saison

I used this recently in a saison, og of 1.050 fermented at about 85 degrees ended up at .997! And this was with a mash temp of 156! I had read this will eat anything at just about any mash temp and can definitely attest to personal experience now.

Boulevard Brewery/CCB Collab "Tropical Pale Ale"

California and Southwest Trip - What/Where To Buy?

As someone who recently honeymooned in the SF area, I would say a few things. A) definitely hit Russian River if you can, trust me it is worth it. B) If you are going to hit any brewery in the SF city limits, definitely hit up Cellarmaker. Everything that I tried from them was top notch. C) go...

    No aeration needed?

I recently brewed an IPA for a wedding reception next weekend. Brew day went normal, but due to being in a big hurry, I completely forgot to aerate my wort at all. I do not have an oxygen setup, so normally aeration involves me shaking the carboy for a few minutes. The brew was 5lb. 2row and 5...

Berliner Weisse Too Sour - Any Remedy?

I would definitely blend if you think it's too tart. Brew a base beer and blend and now you have 10gallons. How did you sour the batch? For me the sourer, the better!

    Hibiscus

It's interesting they would do an IPA with hibiscus. Boulevard makes a fantastic gose with hibiscus as a seasonal, I see it lending it much more to that style than an IPA.

    Berliner Weiss, many ways

Recently tried my first berliner. Did DME of wheat mix, tossed 1 lb unmilled grain and kept in a cooler at roughly 110 degrees for three days. I bought a CO2 charger for purging hoping to not lug my 20# tank from fridge to fermentation vessel twice a day. CO2 charger worked poorly but had enough...

    Extremely late addition

I have been a homebrewer for about a year and done 10 or so batches, but recently ran into a problem. I normally use late additions for most of my lme, but this time was extremely late. I was cooling my boil in my wort chiller and was at about 90 degrees when I realized most of my lme was still...
