    Anyone seen this before?

    and know what may have caused it? after cold crashing for a couple of days I open my fermentation chamber to a 1-2" translucent layer on top of the beer. it kind of looks like when the ice melts in your coke and all the water moves to the top.

    hefeweizen yeast layer

    I just brewed a hefe extract kit. It has been in primary for three weeks now. I have reach my desired FG 1.012.
