I have never boiled it either, just heated it up to dissolve. If you guys wanna kick it up a notch too, i also made a very basic (juice, sugar and yeast) hard cranberry and then mixed the lemonade and cranberry and it was awesome(r)

Tell me a Cherry Bock isn't a bad idea

I brewed a chocolate cherry Bock a year ago, and the flavor definitely works well! I used 4oz of cherry extract and I beleive 4oz chocolate nibs.

Advice...want to turn my recipe more chocolatey

You could also use a base stout kit and add in PB2 (powdered PB) in the boil and more in the secondary with cocoa nibs.... I have done that with success.

    Full Hard Lemonade recipe

I highly approve of this recipe! I have done it twice now and have had great results both times! I also fermented plain cranberry juice with a couple cups of sugar and yeast and added that finished product to the lemonade! Highly worthwhile recipe!

    Are Kegs Worth the Cost?

kegging was the best thing I did. I still bottle some batches though becuase sometimes nothing beats that nice hiss you get followed by the aroma after cracking a bottle cap open. When in doubt, do both

    CO2 Tank Size

I have three Corny Kegs setup in my kegerator and run a 7.5lb cylinder and am fine with that. I probably can go 6 months without refilling. And, the 7.5lber is pretty easy to take with you for refilling.

    Bitter flavor from spices

I had the exact same thing with a winter ale I did. Had a batch timed to be done for Xmas, but it was as you described. Now, into January, I can taste the spices mellowing. Might have to brew this next August or September to have a fine beer for the holidays.

    Hey there from Jersey

Will do! One of our guys put it together using an old firehouse gear rack. Pretty neat to just roll your setup out of the garage into the driveway, pour a homebrew, light a cigar and brew away! I actually just got an old gear rack too, and will be putting a second MB40 together for the spring

Pretty sure the Brewers Best kit comes with Lager yeast....that may be your problem. I only bring it up because I have the kit and I was looking at it the other day and noticed it.
