    fermenter sampling/testing valve

    I ferment in a 15 gallon plastic fermenter and would like to test/sample the beer befor racking to a secondary without removing the lid. Does any one have or use a small sampling valve on thier fermenter? If so what kind of setup is it?

    Help with Ken Lenards Red Hop aditions

    Tommarow I am brewing Ken Lenards Home Run Red the ale version. The problem is the the Mt.Hood hops I got have 3.7AAU. Insted of getting to 27 IBU I am at a stonch 13. While still using my Mt.Hood what would also be good hop aditions to up the IBU's ? What I have on hand is 4oz My.Hood...

    possible fermenter?

    Thier is no place on the tank that says if it is food safe or anything. I was told that it has been used to ferment wine in. Thier is no smell in the tank but it does look like wine was in it. Is it okay to use as a fermenter? Sorry for the huge picture not sure why they are super sized. [/IMG]

    how to attach propane hose to black pipe

    I have a 10psi regulator and hose that I want to connect to black pipe. On the end of the hose is an orifice to burner. Should I cut the old orifice off and attach the hose to the pipe with a barbed fitting and hose clamp?

    When to add 5.2ph stabilizer

    Are you supposed to add ph stabilizer to mash in, mash out and sparge water?

    caramunich insted of Munich

    I am doing a wheat beer 48/48/4 2-row wheat malt and caramunich. The problem is the brew shop only had caramunich and not Munich like the recipe called for. Would swiching the two be noticable or should I just keep the caramunich out ?

    Hop stopper Issue

    I just brewed my first batch using a hop stopper. It was 10 gallons of cream of 3 crops so only 2 oz of pellet hops. The problem is that at around 110 the hop stopper would clog. I use an IM Chiller and recirculate the wort using a march pump and a a recirculating arm. Should I pull the wort...
