    Single Infusion, Medium Body, Batch Sparge Issues

    A couple questions...though I am by no means an expert. What are you mashing at? Also are you stirring your grains after you've added the sparge water? Other than that I would suggest checking the crush too. Almost all LHBS are set to much too coarse of a grind. I was seeing low efficiency...

    All-Grain Costs?!?!?!

    Buying hops in bulk will save you tons of money. Just brewed a 5 gal batch Zombie Dust inspired APA with half a pound of Citra...about 14# of grain. 12.50 for hops (would cost twice that if not buying by the #) 18 or so for grain (extract would be $30+ to get to same OG) 3.50 for yeast

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

    Just ordered #3 in about a 9 month period. First one broke while washing the current one's paper scale on the inside came loose...which I didn't notice until my Pliny kit from Morebeer came in at 1.053 or something...I don't think so with like 10# of LME, 1# of Sugar, AND DME!
