Bottling this weekend - couple first time questions.

The only way to tell is by taste. Some rare cases you would see something growing in the beer that shouldn't. You had a few mishaps that could cause a problem but you won't know until you taste it. Try a taste of it before you bottle. If it Tastes good proceeds and fill sterile bottles. If it...

    boil x 2 wort

It could work. If they are relatively identical you will be fine. It should still taste great.

First All Grain Brew : Need a simple recipe to start.

Could use a little more hops than that bit I think that would be very good.

First All Grain Brew : Need a simple recipe to start.

Ya that's why I suggested for the poster to use 1 ounce of cascade at 60 mins and the some later additions. I vote .5 falconers at 30 and .5 at 15 mins

    Water

Until you develop a want it a need to start playing with your water chemistry and such I would just use water out of a machine at your local gas station or supermarket. For a batch it is like 3 dollars for me but I am getting 10 gallons of water for all grain

Concern I may have a contamination

Looks normal to me. It's not the best pic but what I see it is just looks like the a finished beer. That small amount of bubbles on top is what I get in my primary after the fermentation

    boil x 2 wort

Yes you can but it most likely isn't the best idea IMO. If you boil it exactly the same it should be okay. How big of batches are you talking? If you want to make two five gallon batches and put them together I would just keep them separate. Use different yeasts or change up the hop addition...

Scratch that. Same as above but put .5 of an ounce of falconers at 30 mins and the other .5 at 15 mins.

I really like the idea of 1 ounce cascade at 60 and 1 ounce falconers flight at 15 mins. Should be beautiful!

Go with this for a simple beer. You can cut back on the hops if you'd like. Or switch them up. Maybe a ounce of cascade at 60 mins and them citra or falcons flight at 15 mins

    spice question

I'm really not sure but leaving them in shouldn't hurt anything! They should be fine if you leave them in

    spice question

I am not completely certain but from my experience and what I have heard I would add them at 5 mins or flameout. Make sure to crush the seeds or prepare them properly. I don't know exactly what to so to get them ready but I have heard they need to me crushed or something. Cheers and good luck...

Possible to do 3Gal BIAB in a 4Gal pot?

Ya I paid 50 dollars for a 16 gallon tamale pot. Works great! Would order one online. It will save you money, you will be able to boil big batches, and it boils faster since it conducts heat better.

Possible to do 3Gal BIAB in a 4Gal pot?

You can top off near the end of the boil but it is not recommended. Plus your going to loose a ton of water. I bet it would be close to half if you have a nice rapid boil along with the water you lost from the grain. Imo and in my experience I would buy the bigger pot. It will save you the hard...

    Remove dried krausen from tubing

I would mix up some cleaner like oxyclean free in enough water to submerge and fill the tubing. Let it sit and it will destroy those stubborn pieces of crust. Since there just blow off tubes anything you have can work as cleaner. Bleach would work as well. Just make sure to rinse the bleach of well.

Put 3 Gallon Batch in a 6 Gallon Carboy?

Should be fine as long as you don't open the carboy much. The fermentation is gonna purge that head space. Don't wanna introduce any o2 once fermentation slows down.

    Pecan extract

Not completely sure but I usually always here people using extracts after fermentation. Adding it to the primary before fermentation starts should work to bit you will loose some of the flavor I believe which could be a good thing if you want a subtle taste of it. Hope you can get a definite...

    used soda keg

I ordered some used kegs from adventures in home brewing. They were super cheap because they were said to be loose handled kegs but they were completely fine. Tons of reviews also say this. I had to clean the soda out but after that little bit of work I had some great kegs, two for about 60 bucks.

    Bone head move

How is it bottled but still in the secondary? If you bottled the beer it should of carbed up by now if you added sugar or priming tablets to the bottles.

    used soda keg

It takes some work but you can easily get the soda residue/smell out. I just had to do this on my two kegs I just got. I soaked mine with oxyclean free for a day dumped it out and resonated it again with more oxyclean. This got rid of it completely. Just make sure to fully rinse the oxy residue...
