    AWESOME! Vets opening their own.....

    They've been in the news quite a bit in Va Beach. They're really trading heavily on their status as veterans. I'd be more inclined to buy their beer if they were actual, outside-the-wire veterans instead of self-aggrandizing rear echelon mother -----rs.

    I have no idea what the electricity rates are like in Tucson, but if they're anything like in VA, you were going to pay 80-90 dollars to keep your house cool to ensure two cases of beer didn't develop any off flavors.

    Yeah, add water for sure. If you have a grocery store nearby, I'd go buy a gallon of distilled or reverse osmosis water.

    To get a five gallons bottled should i have 5.5 gallons on primary

    I had the same issue and have been doing 5.5 gallon batches to compensate. Losing about a half gallon every time was irking me. Bottling 46 or 47 beers was just disappointing for some reason. Just make sure you compensate with a proportional 10% increase to the grain/hop bill; otherwise, if...
