PLEASE let the Northern Brewer buy-out be a hoax!

I have to agree, I love the Milwaukee location. The staff there are top-notch as well. Prices and quality can't be beat. My only (small) complaint is I've noticed some inventory out of stock lately when I need it, i.e. yeast and Belgian candy sugar. However, if that means they're having some...

Sweet Stout Left Hand Milk Stout Clone

What temp is your fermenter currently at? If it's on the cold side, try raising it to around 68 degrees.

    Bottling Belgians without Belgian bottles?

Belgian beers rank high on my list and I brew them often. This is anecdotal, however I honestly feel that the bottles conditioned with a cork and cage in a traditional 750 ml. Belgian bottle turn out better. I also bottle using 375ml Duvel and Chimay bottles as well as standard 22 and 12-ounce...

How to survive the US as an bavarian immigrant without Augustiner Helles on Tap?

The below is not an Augustiner clone, however, I think it's a great tasting Helles. I'd love to see your sour dough recipe, if you'd be willing to post it. Prost! Hofbrauhaus Munich Helles 5.5 gallon 80% Efficentcy OG: 1.043 9 lb – German pils 0.5 lb – Caramel Malt 10L 0.25 lb –...

    Southeast WI source for cider?

If you're looking for something to do on a Saturday or Sunday, you can get fresh cider at the apple barn in Elkhorn. It's a nice place out in the country. http://applebarnorchardandwinery.com/orchard-experence/

Jumping kegs - 10 gallons from one tap

If you have the short, gas in, dip tube on the serving keg, my guess is you would get a lot of agitation resulting in a foamy pour.

Farmhouse Ale - Anyone had 'spotted cow' from New Glarus?

I've made the Northern Brewer recipe about 10 times, it's spot on. Actually, a little better than the original. All-Grain MASH INGREDIENTS - 7.5 lbs. Rahr 2-row - 0.5 lbs Briess Carapils - 0.25 lbs flaked barley - 0.25 lbs flaked maize MASH SCHEDULE: SINGLE INFUSION Sacch’ Rest...

Weissbier Bee Cave Brewery Bavarian Hefeweizen

Whenever I have over pitched this yeast strain, I've had no esters at all i.e. no banana. However, you'll still get a great tasting hefe.

    Slow trickling Perlick:(

Exactly what i was going to suggest. This should help narrow it down for you. I had the exact same problem and it ended up being a semi clogged dip tube

How do US microbreweries compare to the world?

I've had awesome beer from all over the world. I wouldn't say the U.S. is the best, however, we're right up there. I'm not sure I'd call any country "the best".
