    Apfelwein question. Meat???

I used to have a drink in England called Scrumpy, I never knew how to make it until curiosity got the better of me and I did a Google search. Low and behold I came across a recipe using fermented apples, raisins and raw meat, anyone want to try it?

First AG, how did I do?

Not really big enough, it's your run of the mill turkey frier, so around 7.5 gallons, thus the couple of boil overs. Unfortunately cost is an issue, I can buy a 10 gallon cooler for $46, if I was to buy another kettle I can't see being able to get one that is bigger for less than $100. Also...

First AG, how did I do?

Having been hanging out here over the last couple of months absorbing as much as I could, it finally came time for me to make my first homebrew. I followed in other peoples foot steps and decided to make EdWort's Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale. I doughed in and hit 151 F, close enough for me to...

    Wort Chiller recommendation

Noob question - is there a reason why you can't pump the cooled wort from the ouput of a CFC back into the brew pot, using an outlet that started a whirlpool? Let it sit for 30 minutes, then drain to the fermenter leaving the cold break etc. behind? Or am I missing something?

Post a pic--let's see your ugly mugs

I was living in Southampton before deciding to take the plunge and move out here to the US in '99, somehow I ended up here in Pensacola via South Florida.
