    Light film that drops quickly indicates a bottle Krausen which is fine (part of the carbonation process when bottle conditioning). A film that forms and doesn't drop is telling me it's an infection. Whether lacto or other it doesn't matter. Pop a bottle and take a culture and see what grows...

    The thin-ness could certainly be a symptom of your mash temps, but the off flavors you report are telling me something else is going on.
