    Stout: Is partial boil a good idea for this style?

    Hey everyone - I was wondering if a partial boil might be a good idea for a stout I want to brew... would carmelization/scorching from less water add flavor or complexity to a 1.075SG stout? Thanks!

    Anyone seen these bubbles in your airlock?

    Maybe this always happens and I just never noticed but I thought these hexagon bubbles were pretty cool!

    Wyeast 1214 is hot!

    It has been nearly two days and this yeast is starting to take off. Bucket temp is now closing in on 80 degrees! I thought I would be OK because the apartment is 65 degrees. Oh well I guess I'll have some estery brew! Also thought the bubbles in the airlock looked cool last night. Never seen...
