Coopers Carbonation tablets to correct carbonation error

Made a stout not too long ago. Really good beer, but I somehow screwed up the priming when bottling. I used priming sugar in accordance with the priming sugar calculator, but it's pretty flat. There's a little bit of carbonation, but certainly not enough. On a whim (read: Drinking and...

Yet another single-tier, three-burner stand build

Got both pumps mounted, power box and controllers mounted. All the wiring works and fits. All that’s left is mounting the chiller lines, putting the gas system together (all pest acquired) and securing the wires.

Yet another single-tier, three-burner stand build

Well, assembly is a better word than build, here, since I haven't really fabricated anything. For a few years now, I have trolled these threads in an effort to learn as much as possible about the appropriate gas valves, pipe size, stand materials, and temp controllers, etc. While deployed to...

Beer Clean Glasses: Light at the end of the tunnel

I just keep them out of the dishwasher, hand wash and let them air dry. Maybe I’ll try a PBW/Starsan soak.

    What are you drinking now?

Nothing ... but when I get home from Afghanistan in a few days, I’ll have a tripel I made before I left. Can’t wait.

    Carbonating in a growler.

I do it quite often in my SS growler. I use thread tape inside the cap and electrical tape on the outside.

    House Beer

I normally have a simple MO/Citra on tap, and play with the grain and hop schedule, depending on how I feel.

    Left Hand Milk Stout?

That recipe is pretty good. I just tapped the keg on my second brew. When I brewed it the first time, I thought I had made an outstanding beer. And I had; it was a damn good beer. But when I tasted them side by side, there really was no comparison. It needed more roast and more chocolate. It...

    Home Brew Club drunk problem

Dude has to go. Picking fights and making inappropriate comments to other members' wives is a headache you don't want. You have a duty to your club and its members -- not some drunk who can't control himself. Someone with those maturity and judgment problems is going to cause you greater and...

Beer Line Length and Pressure Calculator

Confused newb, here. I didn't get a very good understanding of the CO2 volume. Is this volume the amount of CO2 based on the amount of beer? I guess I don't understand the relationship between CO2 volume and PSI.

    Pale ale recipe feedback

Just ran it through brewersfriend.com's calculator and it gave me 6.0 without the 6-row and 6.5 with it.

    Pale ale recipe feedback

Thanks for the advice. I had thought about adding table sugar, but didn't really consider how dark the amber extract would make it. As far as the 6-row is concerned, I guess I need to read that chapter again, huh? Thanks again for the help, Jayhem.

    Pale ale recipe feedback

Hi, folks. New to brewing and new here. Been a lurker for a while, learning a lot (thanks for that). Looking for a little feedback on a recipe I found and tweaked. 1 pound amber LME 7 pounds light LME 1 pound Crystal 20L 1 pound 6-row .5 oz Centennial-60 min 1 oz Cascade and 1 oz Centennial...
