    Upright (tall) freezer questions

Well - to clarify, I was talking about mounting a couple of tower-type taps on the lid of the horizontal freezer and was concerned about wall clearance when opening the lid. Since that thought, I took out a drill, and thought no more. My fridge now has a tapper handle and I will pick up the...

    Upright (tall) freezer questions

Not sure if that is such a big deal. Besides, not like the door is going to be open that much...or is it?? How much of a pain the can is it to move deep freeze away from wall because of the towers on the lid? Thanks! Paul

    Upright (tall) freezer questions

Getting ready to purchase an upright freezer to make a keg fridge out of. I have looked at a ton, and I just can't decide what to get. I have looked at used ones, but around here (st. louis), unless you are the first caller - they are gone. So I finially decided that I would just buy a new one...

If so - would like to know the good and bad of it all....trying to decide if I'm going to dedicate (yet another) refrigerator to the project, or if I'm going to use my lager freezer for 2 things...... Thanks...

Extreme Newbie, never brewed before. Need Advise

I agree. Don't give up. Just be happy that you can make beer in a garbage bucket or in the worlds finest stainless steel. Either way - you got beer baby! As for time - some folks are smelling the airlock on the carboy daily - some don't check it for weeks. Do your own thing. I make wine too -...

Extreme Newbie, never brewed before. Need Advise

Yeah - same happened to me. "Honey, I can make my own beer and I'll stop buying all that Budweiser. Startup is only about $150. Really." Now I have a room in my basement filled with refrigerators and a temp controlled freezer for lagering, now designated as "The Brewhouse." I just started...

    Need Good AG Book

Almost have the parts together for my AG setup - and thanks for the help everyone. I would like to invest in a good, clear and concise, AG brewing book. I like books that cut around the BS and get to the point. Any suggestions from the AG Gods? Thanks! Paul

Have a plastic lauter tun (mini-mash) for tier 2. The second keg will be my final tier 3 wort boiling pot...

Quick question for those die-hard lagering folks. I have a freezer with a temp controller (set at 54 degrees) with space for two carboys. Current lager looks like she'll be in there awhile and I want to get another one started. Limited to a 5 degree per day temp drop for the new batch...
